Lanyards

There are several elements to any fall protection system, and one of the most important parts will be the lanyard. Lanyards form a flexible link between other components, usually being made of rope or webbing, and were specifically designed for restraint to ensure the safety of an operative. They’re often used between a harness and an anchor and should only ever be used on level surfaces – simple restraint lanyards can’t take a lot of weight, but are simply there to ensure the operative doesn’t enter an area where a fall might occur.

As with any component of fall arrest systems, a lanyard can come in a variety of forms. You can get elasticated versions, twin leg options, adjustable types and even extension cords for added versatility. But, even the most basic of lanyards are manufactured to incredibly high standards to ensure increased protection – even though they’re not wholly weight bearing, they still need to be able to withstand the pressures of such a demanding working environment. They can even be used in combination with other pieces of equipment, such as energy absorbers, to offer a more thorough solution to any potential hazards in a dangerous working environment.

We know how important lanyards can be, which is why we offer a comprehensive selection of options to suit all situations. We’ve got everything from the most basic of options to those that can provide a more advanced level of protection, and with versions to suit all types of environment you can get the ultimate in convenience and choice. Every lanyard in our range is manufactured to the same exacting standards to ensure total suitability for the job in hand, so if you need a lanyard for any environment make sure to take a look around and you’ll soon find what you’re looking for.
